Harvey Thomas

November 16, 1931 — May 21, 2025

Harvey E. Thomas, Jr., age 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Sun Valley Assisted Living of Clintonville, with loving family at his bedside. Harvey was born to the late Harvey, Sr and Viola (Lyness) Thomas on November 16,1931, in Oshkosh. He married his "little blonde", Amber Neitzel, on November 10, 1951. They started their life together as a farming family south of Oshkosh. His farming knowledge was enhanced by the Agriculture Short Course he completed in Madison after graduating from Oshkosh High School in 1949.

Over his lifetime, and after he sold his last dairy farm, one of his most notable accomplishments was being a truck driver. Whatever hat he wore, once a farmer, always a farmer. He loved to help-out on other people's farms and if he didn't have someone to help, he kept busy with projects at home. Into his final days, he was always looking for work to be done.

He loved baseball, bowling, polka dancing, snowmobiling, traveling the States and playing Sheepshead and incorporated his love for playing practical jokes in all he did! He mostly loved spending time with family and his many treasured friends. He made friends wherever he went!

Harvey is survived by his daughters, Deborah Selwitschka and Tamie (Mark) Borgardt; daughter-in-law, Debra (James) Becker; grandchildren, Jason (Holly) Selwitschka; Tiffany Anderson; Tim Borgardt and Cassie (Cody) Albright; Rachel (David) Baehr; Gina (Adam) Neace; Jacki (Geno) Stelzel; Matthew (Janessa) Thomas; great grandchildren, Sam (Gavin Dahl), Tevin, Cadence and Lauren Anderson; Morgan (Saif) Selwitschka, Emily and Ryan Selwitschka; Alexander, Otto, August and Gretchen Baehr; Riley, Harper, Kennedi and Croix Neace; Brayden, Shayne and Lindy Stelzel; Lane, Tripp and Shey Thomas and great-great grandchildren, Iris and Theodore Dahl; sister, Nancy Kind, brother-in-law, Dick (Sandy) Neitzel along with many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Amber; son, Randy; son-in-law, Jerry Selwitschka; brother, Duane and sisters, Jeanette Diakoff and June Kehl.
