Hertha Hollaus

Hertha Hollaus, also known as Nana to her family and friends, passed away peacefully on June 17th,2024 in West Bend, Wisconsin, at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Gilbert (Gib) Hollaus, as well as her parents, Selma and Earl Rogge, and brother, Bob Rogge.

Hertha married Gib Hollaus on April 24, 1946, after his service in the U.S Navy, and they bult a life together in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. They were blessed with a daughter, Judy, who survives her, along with her son-in-law, Dave Goggin, grandchildren David Goggin and his wife, Karen, Sarah Goggin Krzykowski, and her husband Jeff, great-grandchildren Patrick, Sam, Thomas, and Amelia Krzykowski.

During her life, Hertha was a dedicated seamstress and a retail clerk, working for various businesses in Oshkosh, including her father's cheese and sausage business. She also served as secretary and treasurer for Hollaus Heating and Air Conditioning.

Hertha's family was the center of her world, and she cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a passion for reading, often finding books at the Oshkosh and Cedarburg Public Library, indulging in her love for books. In her free time, she enjoyed watching TV.

A Funeral Mass in memory of Hertha will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament, St. Peters, in Oshkosh on Tuesday June 25,2024, at 11:00 am. Her family is grateful for the wonderful care and love that she experienced by the staff at The Kathy Hospice, in West Bend, during her last week of life.

Hertha will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
