Irene Elanore Brusewitz

Irene E. Brusewitz, age 102, of Oshkosh, WI, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Park View Health Center. Irene was born on September 10, 1921, to John and Hedwig Mrotek (Grzybowski). She married William Brusewitz.

Irene was a helpful and active individual. Her hobbies included an interest in birds and reading. She could read 10 books a month from the library. She was known as “grandma” to the preschoolers.

She is survived by her son, William ( Peggy) Brusewitz; daughter, Norene (Michael) Rutter; grandchildren, Mike (Kristi), Jennifer, Hillary (Ken), Clay (Merle), Laurel, Sonja (Clint); great grandchildren, Charlee, Kate, Blaise, Brieanna, Tristan (Kirstyn), Cassandra (Kyle), Austin, and great-great grandchild Kimberly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John (Hedwig) Mrotek; husband, William Brusewitz; brothers, Hank, Stanley, and Lenard; sisters, Ann, Hellen, Julie, and Elanore.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday September 29, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at LaSure’s Banquet Hall(3125 S. Washburn St.). Please contact Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes for any additional information.
