While residing in Redgranite, WI, where he designed and built an earth sheltered home, Jim served on the Waushara County Board of Adjustments for 27 years, along with being a Trustee of Elder for numerous years at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi, WI.
His family includes his wife, Joan, to whom he was married to for 49 years; his children, Michael (Karen), Jennifer (Mark) Lancourt, Miles and Andrew (Theresa).
