James "Jim" D. Witzke, age 89, passed away at Ascension Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh, WI on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. He was born to the late Clarence and Esther (Raddatz) Witzke on April 10, 1936, in Oshkosh. He married Patricia Jones on June 1, 1962, at Wesley United Methodist Church.
Jim joined the United States Air Force and served his country during the Korean Conflict. He later worked for Oshkosh Truck on the assembly line and as a truck tester. After retirement, he drove bus for the Oshkosh Public School system.
Jim enjoyed dancing country western, especially with his wife. He was also a volunteer for the Oshkosh Community Food Pantry and Missionary Aviation Group. Additionally, he was a avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. He enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and his great-grandson, Samuel.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; son, Scott (Bonnie Jo), grandchildren, Alex Witzke of Oshkosh, and Marissa (Max) Jones of Appleton; one great-grandson, Samuel; as well as his sister, Janet Jordan and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Witzke, infant brother, Donny Witzke; and, sister-in-law Therese Witzke, along with his brother-in-law, Dick Jordan.
A funeral service for Jim will be held a Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 1PM. A time of visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of service. A burial will take place at Ellenwood Cemetery.
