Jane Nana M. Fauk, age 92, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Evergreen Retirement Community. She was born on August 15, 1922 in Oshkosh the daughter of the late William and Elsie (Lautenschlager) Esslinger. Jane was united in marriage to Alvin Papa Fauk on July 29, 1942 in Oshkosh. Their marriage was blessed with five children. Jane loved singing and being active at Christ Lutheran Church. She was a member of the church choir, Christ Lutheran Womens group president, Oshkosh Choraliers, Musicale Inc., Germans from Russia, and was a hostess for the Miss Wisconsin pageant for over 20 years. Jane was an avid Brewer and Packer fan. She enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with family, especially going to the cottage.Jane is survived by two sons: Bill (Jan) and Thomas Fauk, two daughters: Judy (David) Ludwig and Christine Esselman; son-in-law, Ron Spalding, 11 grandchildren: Lisa Ludwig, Kim Schroeder, Dawn Bassett, Diane Galloway, Deb Salzwedel, Mark Spalding, Scott Esselman, Tammy Brandt, Jason Fauk, Jenny Peters and Traci Peters; three step-grandchildren: Greg, Brian and Patrick Kent; 15 great-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, two sisters, twin, June Backus and Betty Lou (Charles) Carter and one sister-in-law, Lois Beske, further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin in 2004, one daughter, Cheryl Spalding, daughter-in-law, Pat Fauk, son-in-law, Charles Esselman, one sister, Germaine (William) McGraw, two brothers-in-law, Henry Backus and David Beske and one sister-in-law, Lorraine (Orville) Sweeney.Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm noon, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Church Ave., with Pastor Karen Jewell officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Private family interment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to Christ Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank all the staff at Evergreen Retirement Community for all their loving care that was given to Nana during her stay.
