Joanne Jean Stecker

Joanne Jean Stecker was called home in the early hours of April 18th, 2026 at the age of 93. She was born on May 30th,1932 in Oshkosh, WI to the late Robert Hansen and Ellneth (Voigt) Randall.

She married the love of her life, Roger Stecker, on September 30,1950 at Peace Lutheran Church. They spent the next 75 years building a beautiful life and family together.

Joanne was a devoted mother and grandmother to her ten children, sixteen grandchildren, twenty- six great-grandchildren and seven in-laws.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Roger Stecker; her daughters Kathy (Dennis) Rego; Bonnie (Roland) Lindeman; Cheryl (Timothy) Moseley; and sons David Stecker; Daniel (Sandy Mathews) Stecker; Jeff (Gloria) Stecker; and Thomas (Roberta) Stecker. She is also survived by many deeply loved friends and family members.

Joanne is preceded in death by her daughter Jean Ann Stecker; and sons Gerald Stecker and Michael Stecker.

Joanne loved reading, painting ceramics, crocheting, playing cards, and traveling. She could often be found with her nose in a book, or spending time with her family.

Memorial services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh, WI, on April 27th. Visitation with the family will be held at 9am followed by the service at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Special Olympics of Wisconsin.
