John C. Jacob

John C. Jacob, age 83, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025, at Bethany Nursing Home in Waupaca, WI.

John was born on April 24, 1942, in Appleton, WI, son of the late Stephen J. and Dorothy E. (Maas) Jacob. He graduated from Neenah High School and went on to work as a machinist in local printing mills. John was a lifetime member of the NRA and an avid collector of firearms. He enjoyed spending time "up north" at his tree farm, hunting and ATV trail riding.

John is survived by his 3 children: John K. Jacob (Johnny Tohme), Kim Gruendemann (fiancé Brad Lloyd), and Jennifer Steidtman (Michael); 5 grandchildren: Jeramie Gruendemann (Alyssa), Erica Peters (Thomas), Abby Gruendemann, Ava Steidtman, Colin Steidtman; 5 great grandchildren: Caleb, Vivian, & Amelia Gruendemann, Ellaina & Tucker Peters. He is further survived by his sister Margaret Behling; his brother-in-law Ronald Whittman; nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Stephen T. Jacob, Dotti Krieger, Shirley Whittman; a sister-in-law, Madella Jacob; 2 brothers-in-law, William Krieger and James Behling; and a niece, Sharon Jacob.

A graveside service for John will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 1:30pm, at the St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah, WI.
