Judith Ann Stadtmueller

April 15, 1944 — November 12, 2021

Judith Ann Stadtmueller passed away on November 12, 2021, due to complications from Covid-19. She was 77 years old.

Judith - or Judy, as she was known to friends - was a beloved member of the community. After spending a happy childhood in Wittenberg, Judy moved to Oshkosh with her brother Michael and parents Russell and Evelyn (Sampson) Buck.

At the age of 16, Judy began working as a nurses’ aide at Mercy Hospital. In 1965, Judy married the love of her life Anthony “Tony” Stadtmueller. They shared 56 happy years together and had two sons, Scott and Kurt. Judy’s passion for serving others shone through in all she did, including jobs at the Winnebago State Hospital, as an elementary school teachers’ aide, and in residential services caring for people with special needs. In her roles, she befriended many people in the community and once you met Judy, you never forgot her. She had an easy laugh and a quick wit that delighted all. Over the years, Tony and Judy enjoyed traveling to many destinations including England, Norway, Hawaii, and throughout the United States.

Though Judy’s health was failing for years, few people knew the extent to which she struggled. Her joy for life and indomitable spirit kept her pushing through the pain.

Judy is survived by her beloved husband Tony, brother Michael (Susan) Buck, sons Scott (Stefanie) and Kurt (Lisa), a granddaughter Sierra and a grandson Cole.

The family wishes to thank the tireless compassion shown to Judy by Aurora Medical Center ICU staff.

A funeral service for Judy will be held at St Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church ( 830 S Westhaven Dr) on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 11:30AM. A visitation will be held from 9:30AM until the time of service. A burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Park.
