Karen Mae (Briggs) Stampfli, 87, passed away during the early morning hours on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026 at Park View Health Center in Oshkosh. She was born May 22, 1938 to the late Francis and Helen Briggs in Monroe, WI. Karen married Eugene Daniel Stampfli on August 4, 1956 in Monroe. They had two children, Deb Stampfli (Port Washington) and Bill (Ronni) Stampfli (Oshkosh).
Karen grew up in Albany, WI and went to Attica School. Prior to having children, Karen worked on the family farm. After having children, Karen was a proud homemaker for many years. Together with Gene, they enjoyed polka music, trips to Switzerland, bus trips, and endless hours spent with her grandchildren.
After growing up as an only child, Karen was a proud Grandma to 6 granddaughters and 14 great grandchildren. She always had Milky Way candy bars to share!
Karen is survived by her children, Deb and Bill (Ronni) Stampfli; 6 granddaughters, Brittany (Dustin) Lobner, Kelsey (Joe) Klohn, Ashley (Luke) Straveler, Ronessa Stampfli, Kayla (Ryan) Gauld and Erika Stampfli; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Gene on March 12, 2026. Eugene and Karen will be buried together at the Greenwood Cemetery in Brodhead, WI.
Per Karen’s wishes, a cremation has taken place and there will be no service held.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all the staff at Parkview Health Center for their exceptional care. And thank you to Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home for their services.
