Karen Susan Tesch

Karen S. Tesch, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. She was born in Oshkosh on April 10, 1942, to the late William and Mildred Weitz. Karen was united in marriage to Herbert Tesch on August 19, 1976, in Oshkosh.

Karen found joy in life's simple pleasures-baking in her kitchen, preparing meals that brought people together, and exploring new places through her travels. Whether she was trying a new recipe or reminiscing about past adventures, she carried a warmth that made others feel welcome. Above all, Karen treasured the time she spent with her family and friends. She had a special way of making every gathering meaningful, filling rooms with laughter, love, and lasting memories. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by those she loved, creating moments that will be cherished for years to come.

Karen was survived by Mark Zellmer; Rick (Dawn) Tesch; her grandchildren, Jacob (Ellyn) Neubauer, Mariah (Joey) Reader, Alyah (Kevon) Lee, Jenna and Rebekah Tesch, Autumn Zellmer, and Hallie (Jordan) Kuhn; her great-grandchildren, Brooks, Owen, Rylee, Stetson, and Brixlee; her brother, Dale (Sandra) Weitz; her sister, Ellen Weitz.

She was further preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Herbert Tesch; her son, Jasen Zellmer; her daughter, Sue Kerrigan; her grandchildren, Gabriel Kerrigan and Tyler Zellmer; her son-in-law, Christopher McConnell; and her brother, William Weitz Jr.

According to Karen's wishes, services will be private.
