Kathryn Ann Mosling, age 93 of Oshkosh, passed away at Evergreen Retirement Community on Sunday, November 28, 2021 with her family at her side. She was born in Oshkosh on August 13, 1928 to the late Emil and Flora (Knippel) Vandersee. After graduating from Oshkosh High School in 1946, she attended the Oshkosh Business School, then worked as a secretary for the Oshkosh superintendent of schools. She met Ralph Mosling, when he drove her brother home from a baseball game. They married on September 24, 1955. She continued to work as a secretary until the birth of their first child. After raising their five children, Kathryn and Ralph retired and wintered in Naples, Florida.
Kathryn was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. An avid reader, she always carried a book with her. She loved animals and enjoyed sharing amusing stories about all of the family’s pets. She was a devoted Packers and Brewers fan and surprised people with her sports knowledge. She always treasured her time with her children and grandchildren.
Kathryn is survived by her children: Thomas (Ann) Mosling, Libby (Greg) Seibold, Karen (Doug) Gale, Amy Mosling, and Michael (Susan) Mosling; grandchildren: Kristen, Kayla, and Nicholas Bartels, Griffin, Cassidy, and Landon Gale, and Chase Mosling; great-grandson: Andrew Bartels; brother: Jack (Sunny) Vandersee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Mosling, and her sister, Betty Vandersee.
Kathryn will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity.
A private service will be held for Kathryn’s family.
