LaDean L. Niebauer, age 88 of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 9, 1937 to the late Alfred Tesch and Lena (Gollnick) Tesch, and their marriage was blessed with four children. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Throughout her 64-year marriage to Harold, they travelled to many places such as Myrtle Beach, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington D.C., Boston, and enjoyed trying their luck playing slots in different casinos across Wisconsin and Michigan throughout the decades. LaDean also worked at Miles Kimball seasonally for many years.
Some of LaDean's most fond memories were collecting a variety of different types of miniature glass shoes, playing cards with her ladies and family, enjoyed watching birds at her feeders, and loved spending Christmas with her family, especially her grandchildren.
LaDean is lovingly survived by her sons: Brian (Brenda) Niebauer and Patrick Niebauer; grandchildren: Brian Jr. (Alyssa), Christopher (Lizzie), and Dustin (special friend: Alexis Davis) Niebauer, Andrea (Luke) Bushman, Olivia (fiancé: Jared Geiser), and Owen (special friend: Molly Gloudemans) Fischer; great-grandchildren: Raeley Niebauer and Atlas Niebauer, and Kahra and Gracie Bushman; sisters and brother and in-laws: Lois Meshak, Caroline Schmudlach, David (Mary) Tesch, Joyce Tesch, Louella Owen. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, LaDean was preceded by the death of her husband Harold Niebauer Jr; children: Robert and Karen Niebauer; sister: Lorraine (Laverne) Strandlie; brothers: Floyd Tesch, Wayne Tesch, Wilbur (Ramona) Tesch; mother-and-father-in-law: Harold Sr and Elsie Niebauer; sisters-and-brother-in-law: Betty Tesch, Bernetta (Jim) Calkins, and Nancy (Gerald) Schettle, Austin Owen, Duane Schmudlach, John Meshak.
A funeral service for LaDean will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Zion Lutheran Church, 400 N Sawyer St. with Rev. Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Visitation will be held at the church at 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Lunch will be held immediately following the service. Interment will be held at Lake View Memorial Park immediately following the lunch.
LaDean’s family would like to extend their deep appreciation to her niece Yvonne Wustrack for all the great care she gave LaDean over the years. As well as the staff at Oakwood Manor and Aurora Hospice. The compassionate care provided to LaDean, and family will never be forgotten.
