Laverna L. Woschnick

LaVerna L. Woschnick, age 86, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. She was born to the late Lester and Lucile (Abraham) Rickert on April 29, 1937, in Eldorado, WI. Verna was joined in marriage to Henry Woschnick, Jr., on October 8, 1955, in Eldorado.

She graduated from Winnebago Lutheran Academy and chose to be a homemaker to raise her 5 children.

Verna enjoyed gardening, reading, Packer’s football and Bucks basketball, jigsaw puzzles, various crafts, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and fur baby grandchildren. Verna was also very active in her faith, regularly participating in services and volunteering to rock babies and care for kids at Faith of a Child Daycare.

Verna is survived by her five children, Randy (Vicki) Woschnick, Pam (Jim) Gibson, Laurel Woschnick, Becky (Brian) Streck, Vicki Woschnick; grandchildren, Ben (Justine) Woschnick, Emily (Wade) Miller, Alex Streck, Carlie Streck; great-grandchildren, Donovan, Cooper, Miles, Max; her siblings, Shirley Guldan, and Stan (Brenda) Rickert. She is further survived by Hank’s sisters, Betty (Dick) Gubanish, Mary Ann (Don) Detert, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Verna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hank; mother and father-in-law, Henry (Martha) Woschnick, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Rolland Guldan.

A memorial service for Verna will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes (100 Lake Pointe Dr., Oshkosh) on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at 2PM. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service. A private burial will take place at St Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Eldorado.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Faith Lutheran Church (Oshkosh) or the American Heart Association in memory of Verna.
