Lois Emilie Kitzman

Lois Emilie Kitzman was born April 30, 1924 in Menasha and died April 4, 2009 in Oshkosh. Lois was born to the late Clarence and Erna (Syring) Sabroski. She was united in marriage to Eric Kitzman on January 15, 1943 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Menasha. Lois was very active in sports, especially swimming, where she competed at the national level and in later years she was a swimming instructor. Her life revolved around athletics. Her husband Eric was a high school (Menasha H.S.) and collegiate (UW-Oshkosh) coach for 43 years and, as his wife, she attended many home and away games, participating many times as a scorekeeper. She was a long time faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Oshkosh. She is survived by Eric, her husband of 65 years, two sisters, Marian (Ernyl) Westphal of Menasha and Phyllis (Martin) Speidel of Oceanside, CA. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Lois was preceded in death by a brother John (Dorothy) Sabrowski and a sister Audrey (Roger) Westphal. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to the time of service at 12:00 Noon at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 338 N. Eagle St., Oshkosh on Tuesday April 7, 2009, Rev. David Pagel officiating. Lois will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A memorial fund is being established in memory of Lois Kitzman.
