Lucille “Lucy” V. Rahmlow, age 78, of Oshkosh, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Ascension Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 13, 1947, in Oshkosh, she was the first of eight children born to the late Carlton and Dorothy (Dettlaff) Phillips.
Lucy married her love, Elroy “Butch” Rahmlow, on October 4, 1965, and together they built a beautiful life, raising two wonderful sons. Their 46 years of marriage were filled with love and laughter until Butch’s passing on October 11, 2011.
A fierce love defined Lucy, particularly for her family. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that will forever warm their hearts. Known for her baking, she especially delighted in making Christmas cookies, a tradition she lovingly upheld this past Christmas. It was her joy to gift these treats to family and friends alike. Lucy also loved the thrill of gambling and cherished her trips to the casino, where her spirit soared. She was an Elvis fan through and through, even attending one of his concerts—a memory she held dear.
Lucy is lovingly survived by her sons, Rick (Stacey) Rahmlow and J.R. (Trina) Rahmlow; her grandchildren, Jon (Deanna), Kristen (Dave), Caitlin (Gharryck), Cody (Hannah), Dillon (Madelin), Brooke; and many great-grandchildren who adored her. She will also be missed by her siblings: Paul (Jayna) Phillips, Beverly (Mike) Messing, Elaine (David) West, Yvette Bruley, Connie (Mark) Moyer; her brother-in-law, Tom Glass; and sister-in-law, Becky Bor-Dyer, along with her special friend, Wayne Koplitz, and countless nieces and nephews who will hold her memory close.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, Lucy was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Brewer; siblings Judy Glass and Brad Phillips; and brother-in-law, David Bruley.
A memorial service to celebrate Lucy’s life will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home—Westside, located at 100 Lake Pointe Drive, on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to visit the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff at the Wachtel Cancer Center, Ascension Mercy emergency room, and Oshkosh EMS for the wonderful care they provided to Lucy during her time of need. As we gather to reminisce and honor Lucy’s vibrant spirit, let us share our favorite memories, celebrate her life, and keep her love alive in our hearts.
