Marcia Couillard

Marcia R Couillard, age 67, passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025. Marcia was born to the late Lee and Barbara Matlock at Copley Memorial Hospital in Aurora, IL on January 30th,1958. She grew up in Blackhawk Springs in Plano, IL. She moved a few times throughout life from Sugarcamp, WI to Yorkville, IL and back before settling in Omro, WI. There she raised her 3 Kids on 15 beautiful acres in a home they built from the ground up.

Marcia met Jeffrey S. Hasley on January 29th, 2005. She spent what in her words "were the best years of her life with the man of her dreams." She is joining him now in heaven.

Marcia was passionate about her gardening and flowers. She loved being outside barefoot. She had an undeniable sense of adventure, loved road trips, and believed in living life to the fullest. She and her kids raised many animals over the years. She loved good food and had many garage sales, as well as attended many. She found joy in picking seaglass, trips to the casino or bingo, and attended every event possible for her grandchildren.

All of her children's friends called her Ma and she touched every life she came across.

Marcia worked at Bemis/Amcor for 38 years until she retired in 2021. Her Co-workers were truly her second family. After Marcia retired, she worked at her favorite job at the Cheesehouse American Diner. She met and became like an extended family to some very close friends. That bond took her on adventures of travel and sights along with many game nights and memories.

Marcia is survived by her loving family: her sister- Nancy (Randy) Scott, her brother-Gary Matlock, her sons- Jason (Jodi) Newell and Lance Couillard, her daughter- Danielle (Christine) Couillard and her grandchildren- Tatum, Macoy, Jarrett and Blakely Newell with baby Knox Couillard on the way.

In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her brothers- Phillip and Charles Matlock, her sister - Peggy Matlock and her significant other Jeffrey Hasley.

Marcia's wishes are for cremation and a celebration of life to be held at The Bar in Oshkosh, WI (825 N Washburn Ave) on July 15th from 4-7 pm.
