Marjorie M. Stewart

Marjorie Mae Stewart, age 90 of Oshkosh, passed away on June 5, 2025 at Bethel Home. She was born in Oshkosh on October 29, 1934 to the late Harold and Betty (VanBuran) Malkowsky.

Marjorie was united in marriage to Herbert Stewart on October 11, 1958, and together they lovingly raised two children, creating a warm and nurturing home filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Her career began as a dedicated bank teller at First Wisconsin National Bank, but she later embraced the role of a homemaker, where she found true joy in caring for her family. A devoted member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Marjorie found fulfillment in serving her community. She was actively involved in the church pantry and enjoyed the camaraderie of the Dorcas Circle, where friendships blossomed through shared faith and service. Marjorie had a zest for life, often sharing her passions with those around her. She delighted in historical reenactments, skillfully played the autoharp, tended to her vibrant garden, and brought joy to her family through her cooking. Her love for animals was evident, as she often found companionship and joy in their presence.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Russ Stewart and Lynn Stewart; grandchildren, Shannon (Samantha) Bartow and Joshua Stewart; great-grandchildren, Zoe, Zane and Parker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Stewart; son, Timothy Stewart; sisters, Dawn (Bob) Gehling and Lois (Al) Sagmeister.

A memorial service for Marjorie will be held at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, 370 Bowen St. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Inurnment will be held at Lake View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
