Mary Helen Sturdivant

Mary H. Sturdivant, age 60, of Oshkosh, died at Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation on November 17, 2016. She was born on August 13, 1956 in Drew, MS a daughter of Joe and Ernestine Knox Nelson. On August 7, 1990 she married William Sturdivant in Morgan Park, Illinois.She was a registered nurse and enjoyed reading the bible, doing crossword puzzles, cooking, playing with the grandchildren and spending time with family.She is survived by her husband, William, her children Maurice Brown, Alan White, DeAndre Sturdivant, Denton White, Marqueva Price, her brothers William Nelson, George Nelson, Darnell McGee, Jimmie Nelson, Joe Nelson, her sisters Willie Mae McGee, Ruth McGee, Sarah White, Wendy White, Juanita White, Bertha Butler, Betty Nelson, Mammie Nelson, Ruth Nelson, Ezell Nelson, her mother, many grandchildren, cousins and other relatives.She was preceded in death by her father.Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 26, 2016 at Bethel Worship Center (903 E. Tennessee Ave.) at noon. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
