Mary Jane Neubauer passed peacefully on Monday February 7, 2022, at Evergreen Retirement Community. Mary Jane was born to Joseph and Margaret (Ruedinger) Neubauer on February 26, 1934, in Oshkosh, WI. After her graduation from Oshkosh High School in 1952, Mary Jane was called to serve the Catholic Church as a Nun. In 1967, she started her career with Mercy Medical Center where she was the Director of Admitting and the Switchboard until her retirement in 1991.
Mary Jane enjoyed her retirement by traveling the globe and visiting her favorite destinations like Paris, Singapore, Beijing, Hong Kong Puerto Vallarta, New York City, Moscow and many more. When not traveling, she enjoyed reading and watching the Brewers.
Mary Jane remains in the hearts of her brother, Clifford (Patricia) Neubauer; sister, Rosalie Ihrig both of Oshkosh; her nieces and great nephew: Mary, Abby and Adam (Laura) Schapekahm of Poy Sippi; dear friend, Rita (George) Schultz of Oshkosh; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Mary Jane has been reunited in Heaven with her mother, father, sister, Genevieve Krueger of Oshkosh.
The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Retirement Community for their constant kindness, compassion, and care during this difficult time.
A funeral service for Mary Jane will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 12, 2022, at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, St. Vincent site, 1225 Oregon Street, Oshkosh. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
In the interest of public safety, the family kindly requests that all visitation and service attendees wear a mask while inside the church.
