Michael John Gibson

August 5, 1952 — March 24, 2026

Michael J. Gibson, age73, passed away unexpectedly at Aurora Medical Center on March 24, 2026 in Oshkosh, surrounded by his family. He was born to the late Joseph and Rosemary (Snell) Gibson on August 5, 1952 in Oshkosh.

After graduating for Oshkosh High School, he was drafted into the US Army in 1972, getting stationed in Germany. After being honorably discharged from the service, he stayed in Germany performing with his band, Lucee, which became popular in Bavaria; opening for acts like Eric Clapton as well as Heart. Mike started dating his high school classmate, Barbara Boynton, in 1979 and they were married in 1981 at First English Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. together they welcomed their son, Robert, in November of 1982.

After being successful in sales for many years, Mike co-founded Stainless Flow Technologies in Ripon and worked there for many years before his retirement. Mike was proud to see his son carry on his legacy when he took over Mikes share of the company. Outside of his career Mike enjoyed being outside; specifically going to his log home on Summit Lake. He loved going hunting and fishing as well as going tactical shooting with his son. Mike was an overall athlete, he enjoyed boxing, basketball and many other sports in his younger years.

Mike is survived by the love of his life, Barbara; son Robert (Indra) Gibson; grandchildren, Taj, Suriya, Ivaan; siblings, Steve (Diane), Dan (Debbie), Tim, Chris (Carol) Gibson.

A service for Mike will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 3PM. A time of visitation will be held from 1PM until the time of service. Military Honors will take place following the service.
