Nicholas K. Drexler, 36 of Oshkosh, passed away on September 6, 2023. He was born In Oshkosh on August 9, 1987 to Michael and Patti (Reichenberger) Drexler.
He had a passion for planes and took flying lessons. He could identify any plane in the air and worked on airplane models all his life. He had a love for animals, especially his cat and all the fish that lived in his beautiful 50-gallon aquarium. He loved skateboarding and disc golf. He played the flute, sax, and guitar.
Nicholas had a kind and gentle soul. He never held a grudge; he worked out every conflict to a peaceful resolution and had a tremendous amount of empathy for others. Nicholas felt things more deeply than most. He never missed an opportunity to put himself in someone else’s shoes. He really believed love was the greatest power in the universe. He never missed an opportunity to tell those closest to him that he loved them. Of all the souls in the world, his was the most gentle.
Nicholas is survived by his parents: Michael Drexler and Patti (Gary Tank) Giese; aunts and uncles: Margie Beck, Irene (Randy) Walter, Roseann (Terry) Raupp, Paul (Connie) Drexler, Kevin (Kathy) Drexler, Marie (Scott) Metz, Joseph Drexler, Ronald Reichenberger, Ann (Brian) Albrecht, Dan (Julie) Reichenberger, Mark (Mary) Reichenberger, Judy (Mark) Lloyd, Pete (Tina) Reichenberger, Mary Lou Reichenberger, Laurie Reichenberger, Kim Giese; many cousins; close friends: Robert Blaha, Angela Keen, Bryan Kunde and Vanessa Frank.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Frank and Betty Drexler and Gilbert and Leona Reichenberger; stepdad: Phil Giese; aunts and uncles: Jerry Beck, Jim Reichenberger, Tom and Jenny Reichenberger, Gilbert Reichenberger Jr.; cousins: Jessica Drexler and Shana Beck.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 830 S. Westhaven Dr. with Fr. Tom Long officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 am until the time of Mass. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.
