Norman J. Luft

Norman John Luft, 84 of Oshkosh, passed away at Oak Park Place in Menasha on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. Norman was born in Oshkosh on May 6, 1942 to the late John and Gertrude Luft. Norman was united in marriage to Arlyss Joy Luft on May 6, 1967 at Emmanuel United Church of Christ.

Norman was a lifelong member of the Oshkosh community and an active member of the VFW Band, the Oshkosh Giants Baseball Club, the Oshkosh Chapter of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, and the United Church of Christ. He worked as a bank manager and loan officer during his 47-year career. Norman was a sports fan, an avid fisherman, hunter, and enjoyed classic movies. He started playing clarinet in high school and continued into his early 70s. He and Arlyss were excellent polka dancing partners and celebrated 56 years of marriage in 2023. Norman's quick wit and fun-loving-nature will be missed by family, friends and co-workers.

Norman is survived by his sons, Tim (Diane) Luft and Tom Luft; grandchildren, Allison, Rob (Alissa), Chris (Elizabeth); sister, Dolores Keene; brother-in-law, Lowell Hoeft; nephew, Brian Keene.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

A memorial service for Norman will be held in Oshkosh at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive. on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at 6:00 PM, officiated by Lyn Zahorik. Visitation will take place from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. A meal will be provided after the service.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
