Norman August Moss, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025. Born on June 12, 1939, Norman spent most of his life as a proud resident of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Norman was a graduate of Winneconne High School and proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard. He dedicated many years of his career to Rockwell International, from where he eventually retired. He loyally maintained his UAW 291 union membership to the end.
The love story of Norman and Joyce (Galow) began on the roller-skating rink at Westward Ho. They were united in marriage on August 11, 1962, building a beautiful life together until Joyce's passing in 2011.
Norman's life was rich with passions and connections. He found immense joy in the outdoors, particularly through hunting and fishing, often sharing these cherished moments with his sons and grandchildren.
He was a proud and active member of the Otter Street Fishing Club, where he enthusiastically volunteered at various fisherees, with a special place in his heart for the Kids Fisheree. Norman also treasured his "extended family" at Jerry's Bar and had a fondness for his "extra smooth" Korbel brandy.
Norman was the son of the late Helen and Gordon Moss. He is survived by his devoted children: Russell Moss his wife Phyllis, children Alexander (Melissa) Moss, Rebecca Moss; Randall Moss children David Moss, Emily (Matt) Keller, Ashley Moss (Max Schebel), Bryon Moss his wife Kristen, children Sasha Fieldhack, Deven Fieldhack, Abbey Moss and Liam Moss, Jennifer Hollis her husband Alan Hollis Jr. Norman delighted in his great-grandchildren: Zachary Moss, Hayden Moss, Preston Moss, Patrick Keller, and Miles Schebel. He leaves behind his beloved sisters, Cherrie (Bob) Schultz and Debbie Borski, and was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Weitz and brother-in-law Tom Borski.
A memorial service for Norman will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave) on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 2PM. A time of visitation will take place from 12:30PM until the time of service.
Norman will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, his enthusiasm for life, and his dedication to his family and community will forever be remembered.
