Patricia M. Bauman

Patricia “Patti” M. Bauman, age 89 of Van Dyne passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Bethel Home with her daughter by her side. She was born in Wausau on August 12, 1934 to the late Raymond and Goldie (Boettcher) Pagel. Patti was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dennis Bauman, on September 29, 1956 and together raised two daughters; He preceded her in death in 2015.

Patti was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Nekimi. She was a past Commander for the American Legion Auxiliary. Patti and Dennis enjoyed traveling with friends and family.

Patti is survived by her daughter, Debbie Stang; grandchildren, Danielle Potratz, Bethany Deacy and Ryan (Brittny) Deacy; great-grandchildren, Emma and Lucy Potratz, Anya, Harrison, and George Deacy; sister, Linda (Ralph) Nass; sister-in-law, Joyce Page; son-in-law, Tim (Anne) Deacy. She is further survived by nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patti was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Deacy; son-in-law, Bruce Stang; brother, Gerald Pagel; nephews, Gary, Clark, and Todd.

A funeral service for Patti will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 29, 2024, at the Lake View Memorial Park chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd. with Rev. John Krueger officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Entombment will take place immediately after the service.

Patti’s family would like to extend their deep appreciation to Compassus hospice as well as Bethel Home respite team for their kindness and compassion in making Patti as comfortable as possible during her time in their care.
