Paul L. Cartwright, 88, Oshkosh died on Saturday, January 28, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. Paul was born in Waupaca, WI. on June 17, 1917, a son of the late George and Jessie Miller Cartwright Sr. He married LaVerne Trostel on May 25, 1943 in Waupaca.Paul served his country both in the Air Force and National Guard. He retired from Duo Safety Ladder Company, and afterward, he repaired small engines, sno-blowers and lawn mowers in his garage. Paul enjoyed bowling, and was an avid hunter.Survivors include his wife, LaVerne, Oshkosh; three sons, William (LaDonna) Cartwright, Portage, WI; Walter (Sandra) Cartwright, Oshkosh; Donald (Kelly) Cartwright, Oshkosh; four daughters, Anita (Barry) Davidson, Oshkosh; Carol Patience, Oshkosh; Peggy (Jack) DeWall, Camron, WI; Dawn Cartwright, Oshkosh; one step daughter, Diane (Fran) Jacquist, Chicago, IL; one sister, Edith Penland, Everett, WA.; 14 grandchildren; 7 step grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Preceding him in death was four brothers, George Jr., Edwin, Archie, Philip; and three sisters, Eva Baxter, Eunice Haight, and Ruth Cartwright.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 31, 2006 at 7:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside, with Rev. Thomas McFarland officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 PM to the time of the service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
