Ralph J. Boushele, age 82 and 1/2, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Ralph was born on April 13, 1943, in Oshkosh to Cyril and Margaret (Weidenbeck) Boushele. Born and raised in Oshkosh, Ralph's happiest moments were those spent with his family and friends.
On February 6, 1965, Ralph married the love of his life, Bonnie Runkel. Together, they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage.
Ralph is survived by his devoted wife, Bonnie; his awesome children Doug (significant other Diane) Boushele, Sue (Dick) Peterson, and Vicky (Joel) Rasmussen; six cherished grandchildren, Joy (Pat) Spillane, Kathy, Micheal, and Davana Boushele, and Emily (significant other Art) and Jeremy (Chelsea) Bodin; and three great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his cousin, Jack Borisch, who was like a brother to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Joan Boushele, and brother Bob Boushele.
Ralph worked for the City of Oshkosh Parks Department for over 30 years. Outside of work, Ralph found joy in the simple things - fishing, hunting, trap shooting, boating, camping with his family, and traveling. He especially loved a good game of cribbage. Whether playing in leagues or around the kitchen table with family and friends, Ralph was known for his skill - and for always seeming to have an "ace up his sleeve." He was proud to have scored the perfect 29 hand not once, but twice.
Ralph will be remembered for his love of family, and the kindness he showed to everyone who knew him.
A celebration of Ralph's life will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave, Oshkosh, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, with the service starting at 6:30pm. A time of visitation will begin at 4:00pm and continue until the start of the service. Private burial will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Oshkosh, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Ralph's memory by spending time with loved ones, sharing a story, or playing a good game of cribbage - he'd like that.
