Randy Rasmussen

June 2, 1957 — August 8, 2025

On Friday, August 8th, Randy Wayne Rasmussen, concluded a life well lived, surrounded by his family at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. Randy was an amazing man, who lived a full life.

Born on Sunday, June 2nd, 1957, he grew up in Oshkosh as the second oldest of four boys. He truly loved his brothers and spoke of the many stories they shared growing up. He spent six years in the National Guard and was promoted to staff sergeant. He met his wife, Debbie, in Oshkosh in 1980. The two married on Monday, April 19th, 1982, in Las Vegas, NV. They spent many wonderful years together traveling and living life to the fullest. In 1992, they were blessed with one daughter.

Randy was a man committed to his work. He worked at Specialty Machine and then moved to Lindquist Machine, where he worked side by side at both companies with his father, Noel. He continued his career at KimTech working as a millwright for over twenty years. He made lifelong friends along the way. He always spoke highly of many co-workers who he had labelled as either his friends or "adopted sons." He travelled to China, India, and many other countries as part of his career.

He enjoyed music of all genres and loved reading a variety of books. He was always willing to show off his impressively bad dance moves. He enjoyed his Harley motorcycles over the years and was happy to give his last Harley to his best friend Erich. Over the years, Randy and Debbie enjoyed golfing, bowling, and boating with family and friends. He shared many memories with his daughter, Haley, and would say that she was his favorite daughter; despite her being an only child, he really didn't have a choice. He loved his granddaughter, Amelia, and the two shared many laughs through playing with dolls, drawing with chalk, and having dance parties. He kept his Christian faith close to his heart. Randy had a heart of gold and an incredibly giving personality. He wanted to take care of his family and friends to the best of his ability. Randy will be remembered as a beloved brother, husband, dad, grandpa and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Jean Rasmussen, his brother Vince Rasmussen and numerous other family members who we know were there to welcome him at Heaven's gate.

Randy's legacy will live on through his wife of 43 years Debbie; his daughter Haley Rasmussen; and his grandchild Amelia; He is further survived by his two brothers, Larry Rasmussen and Alex Rasmussen (Michele); and many nieces, nephews, dear friends and neighbors.

A celebration of this wonderful man will be held on Friday, August 15th at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave, Oshkosh). Visitation starts at 3:30PM followed by a memorial service at 5PM.

The family would like to thank Dr. Srinivas Bhadriraju "Dr. B" and his ICU staff at Mercy Medical Center for their compassionate and loving care. We would also like to thank the UW Organ and Tissue Donation Team for all that they did in guiding the donation process. Randy was able to be an organ donor and pass along live saving gifts to those in need. This was something that he held near to his heart, as he was a recipient in the past. Thank you to the staff at Mercy, as well as the Cancer Center staff, where his daughter works, for showing appreciation and love for our family during the honor walk.
