Richard M. Dick Reiter, 72 of Oshkosh, died unexpectedly on February 22, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV where he and his wife have been wintering for the past few years. He was born in Oshkosh on July 8 1938 son of Herbert and Rose Heinemann Reiter. He married Helen Vanden Berg in Waupun and they celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on June 11, 2010. He owned and operated Dicks Mobil Station at 10th Avenue and Oregon Street for 10 years and sold Four Seasons Coffee for 30 years retiring in 2001. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He enjoyed bowling and was an avid hunter and fisherman and could often be found fishing at the mouth of the Fox River on Lake Winnebago. He and Helen have been spending their summers at their cottage on Boulder Lake and winters in Nevada.His survivors include his wife, Helen Reiter of Oshkosh; two daughters, Beth (Mike) Mannebach and Mary Reiter both of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren, Ehren, Alyson, Matthew, Katelyn, and Anthony; two sisters, Priscilla (Harvey) Colrue of Iola, WI and Patricia Hansen of Oshkosh; and brother/in/law, Dale (Nancy) Vanden Berg of Waupun. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of Dicks life will be on Friday March 11, 2011 at 5:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home - Westside with the Rev. Timothy Greenwald officiating. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 PM until the time of the celebration.
