Robert B. Crandall

Robert “Bob” Crandall, age 73, passed away on Monday December 6, 2021, at his home. He was born to the late Robert and Lois (Solie) Crandall on June 3, 1948, in Milwaukee. He was raised in Altoona and after graduating high school went on to join the US Army. After his time in the service, Bob married Bette Schlei on September 11, 1971, in Waupun. Bob went on to graduate from UW Stout with a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering. He worked as manufacturing engineer at Oshkosh Truck and then later as a plant manager at Pierce Manufacturing. Bob was a very loving father who loved hunting fishing golfing, bowling, coaching youth baseball and his cats. Bob and Bette are both members at St. Raphael’s Catholic Parish.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bette; 3 sons, Scott (Erin Durham), Jeff (Robbin), and Brian; grandchildren, Chase (Paige), Mollie, Cameron; sister, Sharon (Vern) Price; sisters-in-law, Barb (Dave) Musgjerd, Jo Ann Howard, Mitzi (Tom) Schmidt as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, James (Sharon) Crandall and brother-in-law, Mitch Howard.
A time of visitation will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Friday December 10, 2021, from 3PM until 6PM.
Please keep it casual and dress in your favorite sports team apparel. Bob would have liked it that way!
The family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Medical Center ICU and Heartland Hospice Care for their compassionate care.
