Ronnie T. Rimbey

January 29, 1948 — December 29, 2022

Ronnie T. Rimbey, age 74 of Oshkosh passed away peacefully with family at his side at Aurora Medical Center on Thursday, December 29, 2022. He was born on January 29, 1948 in Fond du Lac to the late Donald and Bernice (Malinowski) Rimbey. Ron married Kathleen Crowner on July 24, 1981.


Ron graduated from Goodrich High School in 1966, where he participated in track and field and excelled at pole vaulting. He later went on to receive an electromechanical associate degree at Moraine Park Technical College with highest honors. He served in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division from 1969-1971. During his service in Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star, Air, and Commendation medals. He worked for AT&T for 44 years before retiring in 2017. In his earlier years, Ron enjoyed sailing and competing in pool tournaments. He loved attending his children's sporting events, fishing, and watching sports, especially the Packers.


Ron is lovingly survived by his wife, Kathleen; children Scott (Jessica), Justin, Sean, Jill, Aaron; grandson, Everett Rimbey; granddaughters, Rachel and Norah Walker; brother Richard (Lois) Rimbey. He is further survived by his brothers-in-law, Chris (Debra) and Robert Crowner, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Ava.


Visitation for Ron will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. with Military Honors to follow.


The Rimbey family would like to thank the staff of Aurora Medical Center-Oshkosh for the compassionate care provided to Ron throughout his time there. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
