Rosella F. Schaele, age 96, passed away at home on Saturday, February 18, 2023. She was born to the late Vernie and Eveline (Buss) Wiedeman on May 12, 1926, in Dixon, MO.
Rose married Arnold Schaele on June 29, 1949, in Elk Point, SD; together they had four children. Rose spent her time as a stay-at-home mom for many years while her children were growing up. After her children began to enter school, she entered the work force and worked hard for many years at Morgan Door Co. She made many friends there and many of those friendships continued after her retirement. Rose loved to travel; especially taking trips up to Michigan with her friend Irene. She enjoyed playing cards with her card group and socializing with them out at a local restaurant. Rose also liked to play scratch off tickets and would often get them as gifts throughout the past few years. She would play those and say she would leave it to her son, Dave, to win her the Mega Millions. We hope some of her luck rubs off on us and those reading this.
Rose delighted in her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to see her sisters and nieces for long weekend trips to Iowa and other parts of Wisconsin. She also had a special place in her heart for her dogs in her life; she also found joy in watching the birds, squirrels, and later cats outside her window at her home.
Rosella was a great parent, sister, aunt, worker friend and wife.
Rose is survived by her children, Yvonne, David, Sandra, and Kenneth; a daughter in her heart, Sheryl Korinek; grandchildren, Miccayla, Cyle, Scott, Kimberly, and Tera; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Vanessa, Isabella, Piper, Ava, Jhace, Parker, Lincoln, Ben; and siblings, Grace, Chester, and Fayeann.
In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by the love of her life, Arnold; granddaughter, Tracy; and sisters, Marge, and Vivian.
A service for Rose will be held at Konrad-Behlman Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr) on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 10:30AM. A time of visitation will be held from 9:30AM until the time of service. A burial will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
