Sandra L. Ray

Sandra L. Ray, age 80 of Oshkosh, passed away surrounded by her family on August 24, 2026. She was born on January 19, 1946 to the late Melvin and Caroline (Patzlaff) Koehn.

Sandy was a graduate of the first class of Oshkosh West High School in 1964, moved to California soon after, and returned to Wisconsin to live out her last years at “home”.

Sandy dedicated her life to being a homemaker, pouring her love into raising her children. She was a doting mother, and an adoring grandmother to Ruby, Matthew, and Evan. Sandy particularly loved her chocolate – especially Mound bars – and never said no to the crisp refreshment of a Coca-Cola. Whether it was an evening of dining out or watching her favorite show, General Hospital, she truly enjoyed the simple joys of life.

Sandy is survived by her children, Nathan (Katie) Ray and Crista (Nick) Piscitelli; grandchildren, Ruby, Matthew and Evan; sister, Carol Zarda, and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends who considered her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A private graveside service took place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
