Oshkosh

Sandra L. Rothe, age 82, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday October 19, 2026 at Aurora Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on December 11, 1943 in Oshkosh a daughter of Eldor “Al” and Bernice Behling Krueger. On June 29, 1963 she married Ronald Rothe in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death in August 2020.

To Sandy, family was everything. She loved her family with her whole heart and treasured every moment spent with them. When her daughters, Nikki and Shelly, were younger, she never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand, whether it was volunteering at school or serving as a Junior Choir Mother at church. She could always be found in the stands, enthusiastically cheering on her girls at every volleyball, basketball, and softball game. And if Sandy was in the stands, you can bet her girls knew she was there! She and Ron also loved volunteering together, running the concession stands at the girls' basketball games for the Oshkosh North Booster Club.

Some of Sandy's most treasured memories were made during the countless family vacations and adventures she shared with those she loved. From weekends spent at their trailer to family trips that took them to so many wonderful destinations, each adventure brought new memories to cherish. When her girls were young, Sandy and Ron planned the family getaways, and as the years passed, they happily joined in on new adventures planned by the next generation. Whether it was a trip to Hawaii, the magic of Walt Disney World in Florida, or time spent at Fox Hills, all among her favorite destinations, what mattered most to Sandy was being together and making memories with her family.

As the years passed, Sandy took on one of her most cherished titles — Grandma. And just as she had done for her girls, she became one of Ainsley and Caleb's biggest and loudest fans. Whether it was hockey, baseball, basketball, volleyball, or dance competitions, she was there, cheering them on with the same unwavering love, enthusiasm, and pride.

Eventually, the games and competitions became fewer, but life had one more very special title waiting for her — Great-Grandma. Her great-grandson, Greyson, brought a whole new kind of joy into her life. She absolutely adored him, and the love, laughter, and happiness he brought her were immeasurable.

Through every chapter of her life, one thing never changed — Sandy's greatest joy was her family. Whether she was cheering from the stands, sharing an adventure, or simply enjoying time together, she made sure those she loved always knew just how much they meant to her. She was their biggest cheerleader, their constant supporter, and a source of unconditional love.

She is survived by her two daughers Nicole(Austin) Moore, Shelly Rothe, her grandchildren Ainsley(Jakob) Vlietstra and Caleb Moore and one great-grandson Greyson Vlietstra.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister Barbara Panske.
