Sharon L. Nelson

August 31, 1948 — December 15, 2023

Sharon Louise Nelson, born August 31, 1948, peacefully went to eternal life on December 15, 2023, at the age of 75. Born in Oshkosh, WI to Earl and Eleanor Nelson, she had six brothers and two sisters.

In 1983, Sharon met the love of her life, William (Bill) Darrell Snow. Together, they built a life filled with cherished moments, laughter, and enduring love, exemplifying the essence of true love. They enjoyed playing cribbage and bingo (only if the number one was not on the card), listening to old country music, going to church, and attending the grandchildren’s activities and sporting events. The grandkids loved weekends at grandma and grandpa’s house where they would often have dance parties, sing into flashlights, build forts, watch movies, and stay up late.

Sharon’s life was dedicated to her family, and her legacy of love, strength and faith will live in the hearts of all who knew her. Sharon is survived by her significant other William (Bill) Darrell Snow, her four children and two stepchildren, Mindy Anderson (Shane), Robert M. Griese III (Kathy), Rebecca Griese, and Luke Griese (Amanda), William (Billy) Snow Jr. (Jaymie) and Tina Snow. Sharon, also known as ‘Grandma Peaches’ is survived by fourteen grandchildren, Jenna (Kyle), Jamie, Madalin, Malarie, Robert, Evelyn, Isla, Taylor, Jackson, Lincoln, Toria, Bradley, and Austin, along with three great grandchildren Harper, Griffyn and Olive.

Sharon will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery. Per Sharon’s wishes, a private visitation and service will be held for immediate family, siblings, nieces, nephews, along with her friends and family of Community Church Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, Disabled American Veterans, or Community Church Oshkosh can be made in Sharon’s name.

Her life was a testament to the principles of her faith, as she lived with kindness, acceptance, and an open heart. Her love and influence will forever reside in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with the ones she holds dear.
