Sherry Redlin, 91, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2026, following a long battle with dementia and congestive heart failure.
Born on October 4, 1935, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Sherry spent nearly her entire life in the community she called home. In 2023, she moved to St. Louis, Missouri, to be closer to her daughter Tracy and family.
Sherry believed in lifelong learning and demonstrated that it is never too late to pursue your dreams. As an adult, she returned to school and proudly earned her associate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, walking in the same graduation ceremony as her younger daughter. She was also a talented writer who fulfilled a special dream by writing and publishing a book of poetry, leaving behind a piece of herself through her words.
She had many 'girlfriend groups' that meant so much to her; The Pizza Ladies and the Birthday Group among several others. Throughout her long life she had a special spot in her heart for her many pets, jazz music and the saxophone. Sherry played tennis, golf, dabbled in the art of rosemaling and even a took a turn on the stage in a play.
We will miss all of the special Momisms like Jessica bells, pork slabs and hockey puck burgers, drives to see the fall colors and Christmas lights and of course cows.
Above all, Sherry's greatest legacy is the family she leaves behind and the memories that will continue to live on in their hearts.
She is survived by her daughters, Tracy (Jack) Grundy of St. Louis, Missouri, and Vicky Redlin (Dean Schider & son Shelby) of Oshkosh, as well as granddaughters Ashleigh (Bryce) Jones and Shannon Rera, and one great granddaughter Emma Jones.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents Lyle and Lora Roe and former husband Doug Redlin.
A funeral service for Sherry will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. Oshkosh, WI 54904 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Maggie Berndt-Dreyer. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Private interment will be held at Lake View Memorial Park.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved. Rest now, no more worries, we will be alright you raised us to be strong women who "could be anything we want to be".
