In Loving Memory of Shirley Jean Beyer
Shirley Jean Beyer, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, will be remembered for her caring heart, kindness, and love for those around her.
Shirley was born to Henry and Maude Boehning in Oshkosh, where she grew up alongside her siblings, Rick (Joanne) Boehning, Mary (Victor) Cook, Lila (Peter) Hoover, Fred Boehning, and Henrietta Boehning. She later married Thomas C. Beyer, and together they welcomed their only daughter, Candie (Tim) Seidl.
Family was at the heart of Shirley's life. She lovingly cared for her husband and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, Tyler (Kristi) Seidl, Emily Seidl, and her great-granddaughter, Mable Seidl.
Shirley had a natural gift for caring for others. She showed her love in simple, thoughtful ways-cooking a favorite meal, making a handmade card, volunteering, helping a friend, or simply being there when someone needed her.
She found joy in many creative and simple pleasures, including crafting, cooking, card making, diamond art, and, of course, bingo. During her time at Edenbrook of Appleton, bingo remained a favorite pastime, and Shirley especially enjoyed her winnings. She loved winning stuffed animals and giving them to Mable, creating a special tradition that brought happiness to them both.
Shirley's life was filled with meaningful relationships, treasured memories, and countless acts of kindness. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and lovingly remembered for the warmth and joy she brought into their lives.
Shirley is now reunited with her parents, husband, and siblings Fred and Henrietta, along with many dear friends and family members who passed before her.
A memorial service for Shirley will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at the Lake View Memorial Park Chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd, Oshkosh, beginning at 2:00pm. A time of visitation will begin at 1:00pm.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported and cared for Shirley throughout the years as her health changed. Special thanks to the Fresenius dialysis team, Bristol Hospice, and the compassionate staff at Edenbrook of Appleton for the care, kindness, and support they provided to Shirley and her family.
