Terri S. Hansen, affectionately known as Tessa or Tess, passed away at her home on April 27, 2026. Her life was rich with deep friendships and a community of those who loved and respected her.
Terri was born on November 26, 1954 and grew up in Mayville Wisconsin graduating from Mayville High School in 1972. She went on to earn both her undergraduate and master's degrees in nursing from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh, setting the stage for a remarkable career dedicated to caring for others.
A registered nurse by training, Terri also excelled as a business leader and entrepreneur. At age 25, she became the Director of Nursing the Upjohn Home Health agency. By 28 she co-founded Supportive Homecare, Inc. with her partner and friend John Westphal, serving as CEO for 17 years before selling the company to Valley VNA in Neenah in 2000. Terri's entrepreneurial spirit shone further when she stared a business with her dear friend Diane Penzenstadler called Creative Management & Marketing Resources. In 2000, Diane took over the company, renaming it 44º North Advertising & Design- a venture that continues to thrive today. Additionally, Terri worked as a business consultant and life coach through her company ts Hansen & Associates, LLC and contributed her expertise to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Small Business Development Center.
Terri's compassion extended beyond her professional achievements. With a lifelong passion for animals, she spent the last six years before retirement as a part-time grant coordinator for the Oshkosh Area Humane Society, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to animal welfare.
Her influence in civic life was equally profound. Terri was the first woman to serve as president of the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce board of directors and served on its board for 13 years. She also dedicated her time to several organizations including boards of the Oshkosh Area Humane Society, The Oshkosh YMCA, UWO Business Advisory Board, Oshkosh Commercial Development Corp. and Chamco. Her remarkable achievements were recognized with awards such as the Entrepreneur Woman of the Year Award, the Small Business Person of the Year Award from the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce and the Blue Chip Enterprise Initiative Award from Connecticut Mutual.
A deeply spiritual person, Terri found solace in prayer and connecting with her angels and spirit guides. She believed in the power of healing-extending her healing care to people, animals, plants and even the smallest elements of nature. Her passions included walking, yoga, and enjoying the beauty of flowers. In her personal life, Terri adored her beloved Cockatiels Mr. and Mrs. Manners. Terri leaves behind a cherished circle of friends who were like family including: Joni Geiger, Asia Voight, Celestia Soles, Eric Van Heuklon, Cathy Huybers and Diane Penzenstadler. These relationships enriched her life and are a testament to the love and kindness she so freely shared.
A brief celebration of Terri's life will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 5:30 pm at Konrad Behlman Funeral Home 100 Lake Point Dr. Oshkosh, with visitation preceding at 4:00 pm until the service. We invite those gathered to share stories, smiles and remember Terri's humor, originality and the many ways she made the world a better place.

We are confident Terri has been welcomed in heaven by God, saying, "Well done good and faithful servant."
Godspeed Terri. You will be missed.
