Thomas David Last

Thomas D. Last, 64, of Oshkosh, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at home. He was born on May 15, 1952, a son of the late Robert W. and Jacqueline A. (Mace) Last. Thomas married Victoria M. Loewen on June 23, 1973. Tom was a member of First English Lutheran Church where he was an usher for 30 years. He worked at UW Oshkosh for 30 years. He was a member of Toastmasters International; a past lieutenant governor for the Wisconsin Upper Michigan district of Kiwanis International; a docent for EAA for over twenty years; and a big brother for 10 years. Tom was an umpire for many years and loved golfing and playing softball.He is survived by his wife, Vickie; siblings, Robert (Rita) Last, Susan Christensen, and Charles (Beth) Last; brother and sisters-in-law Gail (David) Holschbach, Michael (Heidi) Loewen, and Kathleen (Matthew) Steffen; twelve nieces and nephews; and eleven great nieces and nephews. He is further survived by his father-in-law, Victor K. Loewen.Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Ardine M. Loewen.Funeral services for Tom will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016, at First English Lutheran Church (1013 Minnesota Street) with Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Oshkosh.In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.Tom will be dearly missed by his wife, Vickie; his family; and numerous friends. We love you Tom. Rest in peace.
