Thomas "Tom" M. Sekulich

November 14, 1953 — March 7, 2026

Oshkosh

Tom Sekulich, 72 died March 7, 2026 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Tom was born November 14, 1953 in West Allis, Wisconsin to Daniel and Patricia (Burns, Sekulich) Liban.

Tom graduated from Nathan Hale High School in West Allis and later the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in Journalism. Following a brief stint in local broadcasting, Tom began a decade-long adventure that took him from Brazil to Newfoundland and Alaska and included offshore oil exploration and learning to fly.

Tom’s 30-year career as a Bridgetender began when he returned to Oshkosh, keeping him close to the water and allowing him to pursue the uncomplicated and interesting life he wanted and to and pursue that on his own terms.

An avid reader, Tom enjoyed learning and his interest in history and literature reflected that. He enjoyed a round of golf and a Brewers game. He also appreciated good conversation, good music and a cold beer. Above all, he valued friendships with those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Tom was predeceased by his parents and his sister Sarah Sekulich. He is survived by his wife, Susan Kepplinger, his sister Mary Kennedy, nieces Jill Freiermuth and Kate Kennedy-Stussey, and great-nephews.

Per Tom’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
