Christmas was a particularly magical time for her, and she cherished the opportunity to gather with family and friends during the holiday season.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Schumacher, her son Gerald “Jerry” Freeman, and her brothers Arlin and Lloyd Gustmiedl.
A private service will take place at Lake View Memorial Park to celebrate Verna's life.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible staff at The Residence of Oshkosh- Building One, especially nurse Lisa, as well as to Heartland Hospice, particularly Deb and Chaplain Leslie. To all the countless others who assisted Verna, your care and compassion were deeply appreciated.
