Vivian Marie Chapin

Vivian M. Chapin, 91, of Oshkosh died on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at her home at Oakwood Manor, Oshkosh. She was born on October 27, 1918 in Weyauwega the daughter of Oscar and Elsie Long Rothe. She married Arbor M. Chapin on April 18, 1936 in Waupaca County. Arbor preceded her in death in 1991. Vivian was a former member of New Life Community Church. Survivors include one son, David M. (Cindy) Chapin of Oshkosh; one daughter, Elsie Chapin of Winneconne; three brothers, Ernest (Deloris) Rothe, Oscar (Alice) Rothe, and Ralph (Shirley) Rothe all of Oshkosh; two sisters, Betty Szep and Joyce (Roy) Roeder both of Oshkosh. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Merle and Marlin Rothe; and one sister, Violet Anderson. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 4:00 PM at Lake View Memorial Park Chapel (2786 Algoma Blvd. Oshkosh, WI 54901 ) with the Rev. Gary Schroeder officiating. Family and friends may visit at the chapel on Friday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
