Walter Brooks IV

Walter Brooks IV, affectionately known as “Walt Walt,” age 27 of Oshkosh, passed away on July 5, 2025, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah. He was born on May 20, 1998 in Chicago, IL to Walter Brooks III and Ebony Munson.

Walter attended Oshkosh North High School. He dedicated himself to his work at Generac, where he served as a forklift driver and recently earned a well-deserved promotion. His commitment to his job and his enthusiasm for life were evident to all who knew him. In addition to his professional pursuits, Walter had a passion for sports, having played basketball and football during his school years. More recently, he embraced fitness through working out and boxing. His interests were diverse; he enjoyed engaging in video games, embarking on trips, and taking pride in his shoes and car. Above all, Walter cherished the time spent with his family, who were the center of his world.

Walter is survived by his parents, Walter (Meagan) Brooks III and Ebony Munson; grandparents, Christine Jackson, Justine McConnell, Brian McConnell, Sherman Martin; siblings, Darius (Michelle Tapia) Brooks, Dejonte Brooks, Santazja Brooks, Selica Brooks, Michael Franklin, Rashad Brooks, Kashan Brooks, and Keyon Brooks; nephew, Dahvie; niece, Kalia; aunts and uncles, Henry Munson, Ceaser Munson, Stephanie Wallace, Gary Wallace, Larrys Sims, Angela Sims. He is further survived by countless good friends and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter Brooks II, Johnny Jackson, and Julie Munson and auntie Theresha Wallace.

A celebration of life for Walter will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside 100 Lake Pointe Dr. officiated by Pastor Benjamin Peterson. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the time of the service.
