William J. Harron Sr., 66, of Oshkosh died of usual interstitial pneumonia on Tuesday October 16, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born December 10, 1940 in Richards Landing, Ontario, Canada the son of the late Capt. William W. and Bessie McPhee Harron. Bill married Lynn Abraham on Nov. 8, 1974 in Oshkosh. Bill moved to the states in 1972 and received his citizenship in July 1993. He had worked at Schneider National Trucking in Green Bay for 24 years. Bill volunteered for the EAA Young Eagle Program and B17 Bomber Tour and was a member of the Elks Club BPOE #292. He is survived by his wife Lynn, a son William J. Harron Jr., two grandsons Will Harron and Kurt Zabolski, sister-in-law Judy Stowe, brothers-in-law Corky (Karla) Abraham, Michael (Diane) Abraham and mother-in-law, Hazel Abraham all of Oshkosh, many nieces and nephews, and special friends Jon (Jane) Stenerson and Dave (Lynda) Jameson. Memorial services for Bill will be held Saturday Oct. 20, 2007 at 3:00 PM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Rev. Kemp Jones officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Sat. from noon until the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Bills family would like to thank the I.C.U. staff at Mercy Medical Center for the loving care they gave both Bill and his family.
