William James Zuehlke

August 18, 1934 — February 3, 2008

William J. Zeke Zuehlke, 73, of Oshkosh, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather went to his home in heaven on Sunday February 3, 2008. He was born August 18, 1934 in Oshkosh to Herbert and Beatrice (Dolf) Zuehlke. On April 16, 1955 he married Nancy Ihrig in Oshkosh. William was employed with Kimberly Clark Corporation for 40 years. He was an avid ball player and enjoyed bowling. He played for Reds Pizza, the Ambassadors, and Konrad-Behlman Old Stars. The most important decision in his life took place March 12, 2002, when he gave his life to Jesus, securing his eternal destiny. He was a member of Wyldewood Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Nancy; four children Jean (Mark) Hoppe, Cheryl (John) Gehrke, Paul (Jenny) Zuehlke, Cathy (Joe) Filtz; two half-sisters Elaine Penznik and Charlotte Rish; thirteen grandchildren Kara, Leah, Mike, Billy, John Jr., Harley, Amber, Adam, Courtney, Chad, Tyler, Matthew, Noah; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by close friends Ken and Elaine Parsons, Jack and Kathy Retzlaff. Preceding him in death were his mother and father and half-sister Sue Hardel. Funeral services for William will be held Wednesday February 6, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Wyldewood Baptist Church, Rev. Randall King officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9 AM until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established for the Harbor House. Bills family would like to thank the staff at Harbor House, especially Amy, Jesse, Lisa, and his nurse Linda, for all their love and care-we consider them heroes.
